A Letter from Bee to old past Me!

Dear Old Me,

So like everyone else I have been following the #fmsphotoaday for March, totally enjoying & what an awesome creative chick Chantelle is to even come up with the idea (find out more about the photo challenge & much more here http://fatmumslim.com.au/about/meet-chantelle/).

Day 18 was "Letter" I knew when I saw this on Day 1 exactly what I wanted to do, it was something I have always wanted to do, thought about it always but never done it yet.It was to write a letter from the new me Bee to the past old me. The me that was not coping, the me that was drowning, the me that was lost, the me that was not being honest & coming out saying "I think I am depressed, I don't like being a mother, I think I may be post natal!" I only told the truth about this a couple of years ago even the though the new Bee had already started to be created I needed to be honest with what the old past Bee was all about.

This letter is really important to me I guess it represents a "goodbye" to the old me not that I did not like her but it was time to let her go, life has changed & I now know how to accepted that. So pen to paper on the 18th of March I let it all out, I let it  flowed (felt so good!!!!)  I share it now cause I am not ashamed I dedicate this letter not only to me but to all of those mums out there that may have had their own journey or are going through one & I can totally appreciate the feeling . The grieving of your old self, the woman that was before the children.

                                                                    Dear Old Me,

Yes you are about to end up having your first child  in July
you know that not once did you feel scared or anxious you could not work out why?
I guess not being honest, you knew you were thinking "do I even want to be a mother?
let alone knowing how to love him or her!
She was born, we came home it all just felt so strange
all of sudden you hid inside you felt trapped, you were in a cage
days rolled just like your hidden tears
but silly you, you tell no-one cause it will bring up all fears
BUT that is okay looking back you were strong
soon enough you realise it won't be for long
you will open the gate you will learn
you will ask for support then your love will start to burn
along the way you will fail, you will fall
you will be one hell of ya messy hall
The biggest discovery you will make
that everything that was happening was not fake
So you may have not had that motherly love connection
but step by step you create love & affection
But how, how did it all happen?
All i know it was not from nappen
You grieved, yes you cried about your old self
most all you you knew it was time you got HELP!
You learnt to balance, how to cope
how to accept along with how to hope
you did get down pretty low
BUT you survived! & oh my god did you GROW!
mummy meltdown moments happen you scream & shout
sometimes you will catch your self trying to pull your hair out!
But you are different now you make sure those moments are few & far
by breathing deep & remember who you are,
your BEE who LOVES
your BEE who rises above
I love my new me I landed on my feet
My daughters I love you all fine & petite

Love Bee xx

Bee's G's Feb 2014

Bee's G's starting February 1st & reach end date 31st of March
(Watch bee talk about her goals HERE)

"Vision is key to a motivational & postive goal reaching journey. As the master Dalai Lama says in order to carry a positive action we must develop here a postive vision!"

Last goals that I reached were awesome but it is now time to create NEW ones, remember I am just an ordinary women, mum, wife that is reaching EXTRAORDINARY goals in ALL area's of my life!

By extraordinary I don't mean be a movie star, make millions in a month I am talking about your everyday extraordinary things that most of us take for granted PLUS my goals are extraordinary because they are mine, they mean most to me & are personal!!! So whatever your goal you MUST say to yourself it is EXTRAORDINARY because if you don't where are you going to create your motivation from????????????????????????????

So here are my EXTRAORDINARY goals for the next three months, why three months & not six like last time? Well when you think about it end of May start of June we are starting to get into winter, I have some goals that need to urgent attention & I would like to kick off new goals by the end of three months plus different climate will start, different time & my choice!

here we go……………(Be sure to CLICK HERE to listen to BEE talk about each of these goals)

ME GOALS
Goal 1) 2b C'd -Cool, Calm & Collected

Goal 2) 2b healthy & fit by moving me, my mind & my mojo

RELATIONSHIP & COMMUNICATION GOALS
Goal 1) 2b Giving in the moment in order to reach optimum quality time with loved ones

WEALTH & WORK GOALS
Goal 1) 2b Organised to reach focus & flow for the business & study

so in total 4 Goals are the reach for the next three months once again 80 days are quantity key factor which equates to 5 days a week so if reach this quota I will be on track & will reach my goals.

Now some these goals may sound appealing to you well join me go for it & some of them may not make sense & they don't have to but for me they make COMPLETE sense!

Remember these things when creating your goals

  • Pen to paper!
  • It is highly important how the goal is written out
  • Start date & End date
  • Work out what you are going 2B in order to Reach!
once again thanks for allowing me to share my goals for

6tips 2 Create Motivational Work Mojo

"Bee Help! How do I find my motivation to get my work done when I feel flat?" This question popped up last week & I am more than happy to suggest 6 Motivational tips to regain your Work Mojo. This is totally normal we all go through it at some point of our work/career goal journey,  even me on some occasions (not often I love what I do) however it will occur if I have been doing to much of number 5! These tips are ones that I do to either steer away or get me out of the flat mode that I totally can't stand (I like to feel motivated most of the time)

1) Moving Music!!
I don't know about you but music is such a huge motivator for me. Play your favourite songs before & during your work time it creates a moving mood. Make sure it is up beat but not head banging so you can concentrate oh & not mediation music so you don't fall asleep! I usually have the radio going mixed top 40 gotta love it

2) Tick Tock, What's the time?
What time of the day do you feel most motivated? Work when you feel most motivated mine is first thing in the morning at like 5am "early bird catches the worm" I am super fresh, clear & most creative at this time. Choose what time is best for you some are night owls but just when you feel most motivated. You don't have to do it for hours at this time but at least for 30mins because you may just have other things that you need to get done at the same time.

3) Snap the Mood!
If you are feeling the slump, the low feeling of "Ah man could not be bothered working" you need to STOP listen to what you are saying & "SNAP" the mood! As soon as this creeps in you need to ask yourself a SNAP question. "How will I feel AFTER I have completed my work tasks?" you will find the answer will usually be elated, accomplished & one step closer to reaching your goal. Another way to SNAP is by not calling what your doing WORK! Use a different word "I am going to make mulla today, I am going to create knowledge (work does create knowledge when you think about it), just change the word "work" to something more positive, something that you would rather call it but it must SNAP that mood!

4) Extra Energy
I try my absolute best to do some from of exercise before I place myself in front of the computer but that can't always be the case. Seems crazy or silly I know but try doing some star jumps before you sit down to work or step into work, get that blood moving it truly does create extra energy. Also be aware as to what your eating before you kick off eat high energy food here is a link listing some http://www.womansday.com/health-fitness/nutrition/12-foods-to-eat-for-energy-83116

5) Take a break
How much work are you doing? The first perception we tend to think is if I push, do more, get this last thing done it will all be worth it! But if you push push & push it really flattens the work mojo! Frequent, small, quality breaks is all that it takes the tasks will get done if you have the mojo motivate kept level.

6) Environment
This one is a big one, mojo work motivation can really flatten if your environment or place of work is flat. I have learnt the lesson don't do work in the BED! I used to think it would relax me, I feel comfy, I would be able to get more done WRONG! Bed is for chilling, time out, relaxing, cuddles (lol) & SLEEP! Be sure to have your work space were it is an environment that creates "work mode" cafe is great for a change highly recommend for those that work from home but only to change it up not an all the time thing, remember you must feel motivated not relaxed! Add colour, deco it out, put a vision board in front of you, just be sure to create a "work mode" space/environment that creates what makes you tick.

I also would love to share a great article I found with some extra get motivated at work tips- http://quickbase.intuit.com/blog/2013/08/07/6-ways-to-get-motivated-at-work/

If after you try these tips & you are still not feeling the work mojo please contact me maybe it is time to re-valuate your Work/Career goals?
